Streamlining Sensor Data

In this step, you will set up a data processing pipeline to filter, sort, and deduplicate sensor input about enemy ship movements from the sensor_data.txt file.

Tasks

  1. Filter out extraneous sensor log entries from sensor_data.txt (keep only lines containing "Detected enemy vessel")
  2. Sort the remaining entries by their timestamp in ascending order
  3. Remove any duplicate records to avoid redundant alerting

Requirements

  • Read from the sensor_data.txt file located in the /home/labex/project directory.
  • Use appropriate Linux commands to filter, sort, and deduplicate the data.
  • Work within the directory /home/labex/project for all operations.
  • Save the final processed data to a file named processed_sensor_data.txt in the /home/labex/project directory.
