5 theme、41 activity で一般的な Linux command を練習します。31 guided labs が command を説明し、10 challenge が directory organization、file inspection、search、text analysis、disk usage で組み合わせます。
file management、大きな text、resource location、structured text、process、memory、disk、command timing に集中する command course で、広い system administration curriculum ではありません。
学習内容
このコースを修了すると、次のことができるようになります。
- directory listing、current path、navigation、nested structure creation を行う。
- file/directory を copy、move、rename、安全に remove する。
cat、more、less、head、tail、nlで text を読む。which、whereis、criteria-basedfindで resource を探す。grepと basic regex で search し、log criteria を組み合わせる。- standard stream tools で count、extract、sort、deduplicate、translate、compare、join する。
xargsで command を作り、awkで structured record/calculation を分析する。top、free、df、du、timeで process、memory、space、usage、runtime を確認する。

command ごとの説明と即時練習を求める完全初心者、file/text tool を復習する occasional terminal user 向けです。permission、service、network、shell scripting の前に適します。
前提知識： Linux 経験は不要で、command 入力と output 読解だけ必要です。39 activity は Beginner、2 challenge は既習 tool を組み合わせる Intermediate です。
学習環境： 41 activity は準備済み file のある Ubuntu 22.04 desktop/terminal で実行します。local install は不要で、state は activity ごとに独立します。

31 labs と 10 challenges が filesystem、viewing、search、text、system information を扱います。challenge は topic の command を具体的結果へ組み合わせます。
Linux 未経験でも適していますか？
はい。ls、pwd、navigation から始まり、41 中 39 activity が Beginner です。2 Intermediate も既習 text/disk command の組み合わせです。
“Linux Practice Challenges”との違いは？
本コースは common command を教える 41 guided activity です。もう一方は broader administration/Bash を扱う 163 challenge-only library で、多くが Intermediate です。
system administration や scripting も扱いますか？
広くは扱いません。basic inspection はありますが user/permission、package、service、network、SSH、Bash scripting は含みません。
